This bike is crazy. The welds and machining are amazing making the whole thing like a work of art. THIS IS NOT A CROSS COUNTRY BIKE!. It is an mountain cross so if you are expecting a low slung long bike that allows you to ride it comfortably for a long time then you are mistaken. It is very short on the top tube and low slung so you are on top of the bike like a free ride bike. the frame is not that light about 6lbs with the shock and the quality of the build gives confidence that this bike can take some hammer and last for ages. One of my friends rode it and said it felt just like a Turner frame he had ridden which makes sense seeing as the man who made this used to work for Turner ( and Yeti!).
I cant really sum this bike up easily because it is unlike any other bike and is almost unique in europe and rare worldwide anyway.
The shock seems good too me and there are lost of negative reviews for it but mine still works fine 6 months in.
Another reason i find it hard to tell you what this bike is all about is that the kit that I have got on it at the minute is off of an Orange g3 and is quite heavy. The forks (Rock Shox Judy 2`s ) are not the right size and so when i ut lighter kit and better forks on to this machine it will be a whole other bike.
I`m still going to give this bike 4 out of 5 because i love the frame
Great bike for the local trails. Boght this frame about a month ago so It`s not fully tested yet, but overall I`m impressed with how smooth it is out in the forest. As mentioned it`s not an XC bike. Fairly heavy in the climbs, and the rear end drops a bit in the climbs (think that is mainly caused by the rear shock. But in decends it`s a super tool, and you will own a piece of art that no one else has! I also have a Viper FS 3 full suspension which is faster in the climbs, but not even close when the going gets though. I run the frame with a Marzocchi XC 600 fork at 140 mm. Overall very pleased with this product and the service from chainreaction. The frame has a fairly high standover height with a 140mm fork. My 19 inch frame suits people from 185-195cm and my guess is that the 17,5 inch frame will suit 170-185 cm riders.
Good luck!
