I have a set of Hope Mini brakes Front & Back on one bike and these on another.
I paid £230 altogether for my Hope brakes with the additions like adaptors that you need. I paid £105 for the set of Deore 535 brakes Front & Back and no extras.
I'm sorry to say it but the Deore brakes are better than the Hope. They may not look quite as stylish BUT they are better!! Modulation as good...braking power better..so easy to fit and set up and so much cheaper.
This brake will break the hold the hold that ceratin companies have in the U.K, it cannot be beaten for performance, feel and build quality. It is awesome Value for Money and the pads are cheap too. Once again the big S has done their homework right.
Oh Yes It's Good-bye to Hope and Hello to Shimano.
I am really impressed with these brakes. They are 160mm front & back and the stopping power is very good. Thye have as good a feel to them as any brake I have used and are dead easy to set-up and adjust. They are very reliable too and the price is incredible. They use the same brake pads as the new 2 pot XT brake so there are no problems there!
A must have brake for anyone that puts performance and value first.
