I have reacently bought a threk 6000 wich is fitted with these forks and I absaloutely love them! They don't take long to set in, the lockouts brilliant and the rebound ajust's pretty good to! I'm only 14, and at 6 stone 4lb (40kg) i thought the standard spring would be a bit stiff for me but once they were set in they have been fine and track well to. But don't worry if your a big bloke beacause i have the preload wound right of so it would be fine with more preload wound on. All in all a great XC/trail fork for an outstandingly low price!
These forks come as standard on a Kona Kikapu rated as an entry level fork but I think they deserve a better rating my first Kikapu came with Marzocci MZ comp without lockout or rebound these are FAR better with lock out and rebound works well been using them for 2 months with no problems for the price you won't go wrong with these forks I have given them a ***** for price and quality well done Rock Shock.
Got my wife a Trek 4500 ith these forks. Just stunned that they had rebound lockout and preload, the same as my Talas forks, on an entry level bike.
Tip: If they feel a bit slow to compress and return at first, this is due to striction with the wiper seals. Lift the wiper seal with a small flat bladded screwdriver and spray WD40. Suddenly beautiful plush forks at a silly price. Well made simple to service at a knock out price. Ideal for a winter hack or first fork upgrade. High weight is the only negative.
