Hope Mount Adaptor
Hope mount adaptor to mount a 51mm international standard caliper (i.e. Hope, Formula, etc) to a 74mm post mount fork (i.e. Manitou) with a 20mm increase in disc size.
NOTE: Unfortunately not compatible with new Marzocchi Post Mounts
I bought the adapter and fitted it to my Fox Talas 2008 forks with Hope Mini Brakes and 203mm Rotor.. all fitted with no problems and everything working perfectly straight out of the box. The post mount adapter makes aligning the brake caliper very easy with no need for shims.. cool piece of kit!!
I've just fitted a Hope Mono M4 front break to my Marzocchi 66 RC2X 20mm 2007 forks using this adaptor. I was quite surprised by some of the comments about it not fitting, or needing to 'grind' away some of the metal. Maybe I was lucky (or maybe there is a new Marzocchi post mount from 2008?) - it fitted perfectly by simply bolting to the forks (no grind necessary!). Cheers CRC
I NEED THIS ADAPTOR WHEN I UPGRADED MY FORKS FROM 03 Z3'S TO MANITOU STANCES.
WOKED A TREAT VERY HAPPY AS HOPE ARE THE ONLY BRAKE COMPANY THAT DO THIS TYPE OF ADAPTOR. I HAD A MINI IS MOUNT AT THE TIME. THIS ADAPTOR ALSO FITTED 06 MX COMP BOMBERS
AND AS FOR THE MUPPET THAT THINK AVID DO THIS ADAPTOR THEY DONT!!!!!!
