Burtec have refined their Penthouse Flat pedals and incorporated a parallelogram design which adds benefits to the aesthetics, the main benefit being improved access to the 8 replaceable M3 pins which are screwed through from below, meaning you ....Read More...
Just an update on my previous review. I managed to crash last month, hitting my right pedal straight-on with a very large tree. My whole right crank was completely bent, but all that happened with the ti axle was 2 stripped threads! Everything else was fine, even the pins which had chunks of wood chippings on survived. Also, that moron who said that the bearings seize should buy a pair first (if he actually has some, then they couldn't be simpler to service). I've used mine in snow, rain, wet-grit; the works, and they cannot be faulted. Bearings are just as smooth as when I first got them. So to sum up, the perfect pedals. And they are better than SPuDs with Five Tens's.
i have the snow camo pedals. i can safely say these are the highest quality pedals that you can buy. the bearings are like silk! the body of the pedal feels amazing. the pins are perfect, and the fact that they screw in from underneath means you wont have any problems with destroyed pins. matched with 5.10's or even nike 6.0 shoes they are the buisness! one point is mine didnt come with spare pins.. not that is really matters
I've had these for around a year, and without a doubt, are the best pedals ever. Grip is in a whole other league, they are solid as a rock, and run as smooth as a babies behind, probably due to the 0.001mm tolerance in the bearings. As for maintainence, I've never had to grease them up, and cleaning them couldnt be easier. And they come in more colours than available at the paint section at b&Q. Forget spd's, these are THE LAST PEDALS YOU WILL EVER BUY
