Holy moly. These shoes are just incredible. I have literally just got them, and wow. This is gonna be a fairly big review, but theres a lot to say.
But before I say anything else, I have to mention something about Chain Reaction. I ordered these babies at 3pm yesterday... and in 20 mere hours, they were at my doorstep! That sort of service is just unrivaled on the internet. Cheers CRC!
Anyway, about the shoes. Admittedly, they may look like a bland hiking and climbing shoe mixed together, but looks can be deceiving, and in this case, they are.
The sole of these are the heart of the whole design; it's made of an insanely sticky rubber. It doesn't feel particularly soft when touched - if anything its hard. But its soo grippy. On Burgtecs, you have to lift the shoe vertically in order to change your foot position. It’s in a whole other league when compared to say, BMX specific shoes.
As for the rest of the shoe, it’s very stiff, and extremely well padded. The tounge is really odd - its fully attached to the inside of the shoe, but normal on the other.
As already said with previous version of Five Ten’s, if you don’t want SPuD's, and flats are not grippy enough, you can't beat these. They have to be worn to be believed.
I wonder what the stealth rubber tyres are like...
these trainers are fantastic...if anything they'r 2 grippy!...give u a partial "pull-up" response on the upstroke...of very durable construction with nice design that incorporates the reflective bits...nice and wide across the fore-foot...could have a stiffer sole, but still gettin 5 stars from me...great price all-in!

whatever kind of ride you are doing, if you have flat pedals get this shoes!! the GRIP very very very well! Don't bare in mind the fact that they cost 60 pounds. they worth every pen of it!!!
I ride a Giant Reign X1 and I have DMR v8 pedals and my foot never left the pedals!!!
