I've been running these since I got some 700c wheels for my mountain bike about three years ago.
I do 30km a day and they've lasted about 18 months each, which I think is pretty damn good as I ride hard, and the roads in Gloucestershire have to be the worst in the country. I use the 28c width for extra comfort, I think it might be excessive to go narrower.
I've never come off cornering, even in icy conditions and really wet weather. The grip has been good, with excellent water run off.
Not sure about the puncture problems that others have had, I could count on one hand the number I've had, and they've all been slow ones. I've never in three years had to stop at the roadside and change a tube (famous last words, I'll be running out of vulcanising rubber solution next week!).
All in all an excellent tyre for fast commuting. Definately recommended.
I've been riding a set of these on my fixed gear bike for the last year and I've been riding most days. I've not a single flat tyre, so I'm quite happily giving them a 5. They also last for ages even skidding the back wheel as regularly as is usual with a fixie. I'm now buying another set for my road bike. I'm surprised at the guys posting here with all the punctures (not doubting you). Did you remove the offending bits of glass from your tyres?
Would be surprised if there were anything on the market offering better puncture protection than these. 1500 miles appears to be the limit for wear though and I relunctantly had to replace the rear tyre which had developed flat spots. Can't understand the comments about punctures. There must be something else to it.
