I own this fork now for 2 months and all i can say is WOW what a fantastic fork,butter out off the box and so plush.The ATA system is great with 40mm travel adjust between 160-200mm travel you can run any DH course with any travel you like with eatch click.The RC3 is a magnificent system so volume and rebound can be adjusted easly and good.Fork looks beautifull and the 38mm stantions coated in Nickel makes this fork realy strong and can takes lot's off abuse.The preformence off this forks is awesome with no problems at all and it gobles the hits,drops,bumps or any form off rougthness with eas.
Pros:
Beautifull fork with the 38mm nickel stantions
Preformence is amazing on every ride
Ligth weigth fork and is 1 off the ligthest DH forks on the market.
Strength is great and can wistand lot's off abuse
Adjustment are easy and great.
Cons:
The only downside are the grafhic's on the new 888 forks.I head hoped that marzocchi kept it's old grafhic's what you see on the 06 and 07 fork models.
Conclusion:
If you like the 888 forks and whanna have the ligthest fork in the line up and whanna save a view 100 euro's or ponds over a RC3 WC fork than look no further and buy the 888 ATA WC and these forks are butter out off the box and preformence is awesome.At 2900gr with a huge range off adjustents and killer preformence with looks this is the fork you want on your'e DH bike.
Dont listen to the bull people talk good or bad- JUST GET THESE BOUGHT FIT EM AND REALISE WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN MISSING-rode them for the first time today and noticed my pace picking up even with the enitial breaking in period!!!!!!!!!simply awesome period!!!!!
Ive had these forks for 9 months now, and they did go wrong fairly quickly, (the travel decreased and couldnt be wound back up again), but I sent them back to the importers and they fixed them on warrenty and since then Ive beaten the crap out of them including 2 weeks in the alps and Im 19 stone! They work amazingly, and I really notice the wieght, makes manualing stuff noticably easier. really smooth - love them. Perhaps some reliability issues, but once they got fixed theyve been floorless ever since. Very happy with them. If it wasn't for them breaking the one time, Id def give them 5 stars.
