Bought this a while ago but only just started to use it, been finding every excuse not to ride home from work at night but finally ran out of excuses. Fits my rucksack well, easy to fit and keeps stuff dry, chucking it down last night. My route home is pitch black, no street lights at all, apparantly I was lit up like a christmas tree according to my wife who passed me in the car. Yes I did tell her not to offer me a lift, we hadnt had a barney. All in all very pleased. Cant comment on durability yet but seems sturdy enough.

I have used this mainly on my motorbike and can vouch that this cover stays attached even at higher speeds and does not 'flap around'. I use this on a Berghaus backpack (30L) and it fits fine. It has two elasticated straps that i cross over to make it secure (in addition to the circular elastic). Definitely hi-vis and together with my fluoro yellow jacket i definitely have peace of mind at night. Would have much the same effect whilst cycling. Waterproof too but doesn't get too wet here in Oz actually. 4 stars as i haven't used it long (?longevity). Very worthwhile investment for your safety! Ride safe

As I live in a semi rural area the additional safety given by this highly reflective item is great. However the durability is poor. Silver detailing does start to detach alarmingly soon. I have not tried to wash it other than using a spnge so it has not really had too challenging a life. I try to keep my lock in the black pocket - this has now torn in many areas as well. IF ONLY the DURABILITY could IMPROVE it would merit four or more stars. Where next? There are more reasonably priced items coming on the market so I am likely to replace it in the next few months with a similar product.
