I bought this chainset some time ago probably 4 years and it is still going strong. It has survived falling from a helicopter (baggage handlers) and the Roc d Azure.
I also had the clicking problem to start with; the clicking is the arms shifting on the Bottom Bracket. The cure is to clean everything up a spot of lube and tighten it up as tight as you dare and then tighten it some more. check the tension after each ride for the first couple of months.
Ok, so I upgraded from a stock chainset made from mild steel, lead and pig iron, so anything would be an improvement! Seriously tho' it shifts almost like my road bike, sweet! Also installing was a piece of cake - and I have 1 arm in a sling at the moment! I hear no clicking from the BB or anywhere else....just the crunch of arthritic knees..
Its good, buy it!
These are pretty decent for the price. My old hollowtech cranks gave up the ghost after 7 long hard years. These feel much lighter and stiffer.
Easy to fit - just make sure you are careful that the BB goes in straight and everything is well cleaned and greased.
Good idea to change the chain and cassette at the same time to avoid wear and drivetrain problems.
