I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THEY ARE THE BEST OVERSHOES I HAVE BOUGHT UP TO DATE. AS I WAS FINDING IT HARD TO GET A PAIR THAT FITTED IN ALL THE RIGHT PLACES.THE VELCRO AT THE BACK IS GREAT AS YOU CAN PUT THEM AS LOSE OR AS TIGHT AS YOU LIKE. I DO ABOUT 250KM A WEEK IN COLD AND RAIN AND THEY ARE DOING THE JOB.THE PADDING ON THE SOLE DOES NOT BOTHER ME AS I WOULD NOT BE DOING MUCH WALKING ON THEM JUST CYCLING,AS WHAT THEY ARE FOR.I WOULD GIVE THESE OVERSHOES 10/10 FOR COMFORT, STYLE, PRICE .I WILL BE BUYING A SECOND PAIR.
When I first saw these I thought great, finally an overshoe with 360 degree visability that can be used with all sorts of shoes, and Endura had stopped being so tight fisted with the old scotchlite on thier garments - not quite. The material fits well over my Shimamo MP56s, has good stretch, is waterproof and fleece lined but the only scotchlite is on the back heel, rear logo and side piping. The side logo, side and front detailing is yet again (with Endura garments)some dull grey silver print that is not Scotchlite, or any other highly reflective material. I ended up tracing the patten, cutting out some genuine scotchlite and sticking over the fake stuff - now it really looks the business at night in car headlights. Though the underside is reinforded with Kevlar the zigzag stitching attaching it to the rest of the overshoe looks and feels like pale yellow cotton thread - not sure how long that will last. A big grip I have though is the heel. It wraps over the heel of your shoe and closes with velcro, leaving a lump on your heel to teeter from side to side on when walking. I don't know what the thinking was behind this but I think it would be better with a cuttaway heel. More so when walking in the wet as the wraparound heel soaks up water which is drawn up the interior fleece lining. I think this is one the best looking overshoes around which for me is only let down by the heel, cotton sitching on the underside and non use of Scotchlite allover. I think it just needs a re-design tweek and luminite overtrousers to go with it. Go on Endura, you've got the overshoes, your about to launch the jacket - do the luminite overtrousers and gloves and you've got the package, but don't be afraid to use genuine scotchlite to really have 360degree visability.
A very attractive overshoe. But fails to live up to its looks I have had these over shoes for less then 5 months and already showing wear and tear. Can deal with light rain and short distances. But no good if you are a hard core cyclist or commute everyday through snow and rain. Rear reflectors are great. Who ever designed this kit needs to look at the materials they are using thread bottom of the sole all very flimsy. I would spend the extra £5 for a stronger overshoe
