Bought this more for the price than the adjustability, though that should prove useful if I use a non-standard bottle at any point. It seems very sturdy and holds a bottle securely in off-road rides. As mentioned previously, the adjuster is completely removable so that could be a concern if you park up your bike in public. Maybe if Topeak made it in black to match the rest of the cage, it would be less obvious to the neds/chavs who like to steal things for the fun of it! I think I'll investigate drilling a couple of small holes in the yellow nut to slide zip ties through, loose enough to loosen the nut without allowing it to come right off.

Purchased this cage feeling a bit dubious about how well the adjustability would work, but trusted other positive reviews. I have to back up previous positive comments as this cage has held the bottle perfectly on both road and trail with the added bonus that when I have forgotten my proper drinks bottle I could carry a smaller bottle with no problems. I would certianly but another of these (i just have in fact)

Nice quality light bottle cage, adjustable to take standard shop baught bottles as well as bike ones. Only drawback is the yellow nut screws off completely, so I drilled both the nut and cage and secured with a nylon tie. This still allows full adjustment, but stops you inadvertently losing it.
