Check out the 1487g combined wheelset weight and compare it to anything of a similar price! There's nothing that compares!
Are you conscious of this weight difference? Absolutely! Better on the climbs and on accceleration. I did mnanage to knock a wheel out of true after a few weeks but this is a chance you take with very light wheels (especially when you ride over rough surfaces at speed!)
So, not a commuter wheel, but a great value lightweight training/race wheel.

Had these now since Jan 09 (Refer other review). Used pretty much everyday to commute, train, race and all day rides. Still as true as the day I received them. Probably done ~10000 kms on them. I have replaced the rear bearings once (<$20 for the bearings and easy to source and $20 for press fitment at LBS) and replaced the free hub body ($75 and 5 mins fitment). It is an aluminium body and the small gears in the shimano cassette started to dig into body (Not sure if this occurs with other alu free bodies). Considering the battering the wheels have taken from daily commuting in rain, hail or shine and all the other rides I think that they are BRILLIANT and if they do ever fail I will be buying them again. For the weight, durability and price they cannot be beaten.
