Several rides now in heavy persistent rain, some of them in excess of 21/2 hours. Jacket kept me dry and I was genuinely surprised that I did not overheat or sweat as I do with any other waterproof. Its also a genuine high visibility jacket. Packs absolutley tiny - wouldn't even see it in your pocket. ordered theblack by accident - was impressed by CRC's handling of swap.
Can't believe how good this is for the money. It's not 100% waterproof in persistent heavy rain and as with all these jackets it tends to leak through where your pack straps are but it's not a big deal. The only caveat I'd place on it is that it wouldn't last a nanosecond in any kind of crash as it's paper-thin, so if you're into freeride/downhill it's best avoided on the gnarly trails. Absolutely perfect for long road bashes or runners though.
I bought a fluro yellow size M (40-42"). The fit is neat - i.e. even if you are just a tiny bit over 42" buy the next size up. I bought it for road riding and so far it's great. Ultra minimal, good breatheability, and, so far, waterproof. On the move it doesn't flap too much. The fabric is so thin that it's see-through! On the minus side - as the zip flaps are so thin they can get caught in the zipper if adjusting one handed on the move, and the reflective blobs are hopelessly small. However, that's just a consequence of it being so light rather than a major critiscism. As long as you are prepared to be not to rough with this jacket - because it's so thin - I throughly recommend it.
