Description
The XCG Series of guards are designed to protect chainrings and cranks from damage due to the occasional rock or log encounter. They consist of a replaceable polycarbonate Skid direct-mounted to a 4mm thick alloy back plate. With an XCG Triple, you can keep the big chainring on and not worry about damaging it on obstacles. The XCG Triple is lightweight, and costs a lot less than replacing a high quality 44T ring, so it's a great accessory for the fast and technically aggressive XC rider or for any rider looking to protect their investment. It also has an upper chain-saver section to prevent the chain from falling off towards the inside.
The XCG Triple is easy to install on the vast majority of XC frames and add no rotational weight to the drivetrain.

does exactly what it says on the tin, well lable. if you run a tripple ring set up then this is the perfect thing to protect your outer ring.. weigh next to nothing,. easy to install,. be sure you tighten the bb up prperly, my bashguard moved under impact and was rubbing on the chain, easily fixed.. not happened since i tightend it up...

For those of you who dont want to replace the outer chainring with a bash guard this is the answer. It doesn't add that much weight to the rig, potects the teeth on the chainring and the bottom bracket area, easy enough to fit, and looks sweet!
