Tacx T3175 Exact Wheel Truing Stand

With perfectly aligned wheels your bicycle will move faster and better. Radial and lateral errors can cause poor performance. Tacx has a perfect wheel truing stand and in combination with the wheel alignment gauge and a nipple key you can align your wheels quickly and easily. The Tacx Exact Wheel truing stand is accurate for checking height and sideways rotation. The wheel holders can be tilted forwards or backwards, so that the truing stand can be placed in any desired position. To prevent damage to the rims, the truing pins come with protective caps.

This stand is largely pre assembled with medium sized machine screws. The legs and adjusters do flex a little under load. If you wang the wheel about, the frame will wobble.

I am an amateur wheel straightener. I have had two wheels in this badboy, on my desk in my office for the last few days.

The adjusters are not perfect - but they are perfectly functional. I am down to 1mm radial and lateral in a 135mm x 9mm qr back wheel right now.

My wish would be for 1 more arm to the back of the stand (so you can set and forget an original dishing reference point), but that is me being picky (and trying to save on a dishing stick).

I would recommend, and buy the same again.

My last wheel truing efforts were done in the garage working in-place with zip-ties, and now, frankly, I feel like a king with this badboy on my desk in the warm!

This is a very nice, quality stand made in Holland. When clamped to your work table it is solid as a rock. I am very pleased as it is much better than I expected for the price. Entirely adequate for the home mechanic.

Just used this stand to do my first wheel and it was completely competent for the job. It held the wheel tight and tightened sufficiently to the work top so there was no flex. Very happy with this.
