I spent weeks looking around on Ebay and various bike sites for the best value racer so I could commute the 16 miles to work. Once I found this bike on CRC I knew it was the thing for me. At the discounted price (I got it for £360) this is an amazing deal for campag. chainset and carbon forks. Although it isn't as light as you might like and sports the inferior 9-speed rear mech. this is far superior to anything else on the market at a comparable price. If you want to get into racing, need a cheap tri-bike or just want a fast commuter this is spot on. Was easy to put together and despite the listing being ambiguous it did come with a decent enough pair of clipless pedals and cleats. If you are going to use this for any decent distance you'll probably need some new tyres and tubes but thats usually the case when buying an off-the-rack bike. I had a pair of hutchinson equinox which I've put on and everything has performed pretty well for the first month of commuting. As you can imagine at the price the wheelset isn't the sturdiest and I'll probably end up getting a more expensive set but I only have myself to blame for the excess weight which they are having to bear!
In summary, best bike you can get for the price and easily upgraded if you have a bit left over.
This is the best 450 quid i have ever spent , my first experience with compaq and i am most impressed . The bike was not quite the spec that it states above but i was still pleased . All the instructions, ect are in french . I am 6ft 3inches and i just get away with the 57cm frame
