I bought these for my Meta 5.3 before tackling the West Highland Way, both to shed some weight from the bike, and to minimise the risk of punctures. I was a little concerned whether something so light would hold up to the tough terrain of the Scottish Highlands - but needn't have worried - no dents or warping. I've not had a puncture (that I'm aware of!) either in Scotland, or in the Surrey hills in the couple of months since - I was getting a puncture every couple of weeks before.
I'm not a heavy rider though (150lb) and try to look after the bike as I ride...
