I bought a pair of these as backup lights to go on my helmet, in addition to some old and unreliable (but bright) main halogen lamps. They have fantastic light output for the size -- on the bright setting, the front one is easily enough to illuminate the surface on a dark road at moderate speed (15 mph say). Easily enough to get you home as sole lights. They have similar size and weight to a cycle computer. I had to bodge some holes in the polystyrene of my helmet to get cable ties through for mounting, but having done that I've got a great system which means I can hop on any bike, at a push, and ride it in the dark. Nice anyway to have a head-mounted light to peek at the cycle computer or deal with any bike problems, or to fiddle with the lock in the dark, or to see round corners...
The light itself it really good - ultra bright and very small and light. However the battery life is not 10hrs (or so) in flashing mode, it is only 5!! Even the box says this so I don't know where they got the figures from?? The mounting device is rubbish - just a piece of velcro with a bit of silicon on the back to make it grip to the bars. My silicon came off completely in one week. I just put a piece of rubber on the bar and wrap the strap around it. If the rubber isnt there it just wont grip at all and falls upside down. Over all its a good light light though
Awesome wee light, great idea with the charging system, actual unit is tiny and pretty solid. The mount however, is literaly just a piece of velcro with one side a bit rubbery to improve grip to your handlebars etc.
