I went for the white. Fortunately I retain some vestigal racing form. If you want to wear these, be quick! They are gorgeous, and quite, quite bling. The shiney (vernice) does indeed wipe clean, but, of course, not all the shoe is covered with the stuff. Nonetheless mine still look good after some pretty wet riding. Performance-wise, they are super stiff, and if you have Sidi-shaped feet, comfy too. The heel retention system is a useful addition if you have narrow heel bones. I don't slip at all when out of the saddle, which is new for me. A class act!

I bought a black pair and I'm very happy with them. I like the fact that they are so adjustable. Yes they are a bit bling but also practical. I spilt a litre of blue Powerade over one during a race the other day. A quick wipe down and you wouldn't know the difference. A word of caution though if I had relied on using the sizing chart on the Sidi website I would have bought the wrong size. I ended up trying a pair on first.

Firstly yes these shoes are expensive, but are they worth the high price is the ultimate question? In my opinion as someone who rides for over twenty hours per week, and used these shoes for over 8,000km, the answer is a definate yes they are. The reason is frstly in the highly adjustable nature of the shoes. I simply do not get hot spots on long rides, and adjusting the shoe on the go, as your feet change shape throughout the duration of a ride could not be easier. Secondly it is hard to describe how important the heel adjustment is until you have used the shoes and then returned to an old pair, this is clearly apparent on long climbs and out of the saddle efforts. The build quality is exceptional as would be expected at this price. As a word of cation to some the shoes, I own a blue version, they look as good today as when they came out of the box apart from a general greying of the white areas. The vernice leather simply stays shiny and is easy to wipe down, if you think or hope the bling factor will reduce with age, think again. If you are a serious cyclist who spends time in the saddle and wants one of the best feet to bike interfaces around then look no further. In respect to Sidi fit I have personaly owned sidi's on and off for a large number of years as a result I was confident that I knew the sizing and shape of my feet were compatible. I am all too aware that standard sidi fit is often too narrow for many but given the adjustable nature and broad toe box on this model I doubt that will be as significant as may be the case with lower cost models, try and see!
