Was unsure about buying as no reviews at time of purchase. The frame looks excellent, welds are as neat as pictures suggest. Magnet tells me the forks are steel of some description. Although most parts are not of a brand name, all do their job well. I junked the small grips and cheap plastic pedals, replaced with some DK BMX black/green marble grips and put on some magnesium flat pedals I had from a previous bike. Gearing is fast enough for flat/downhill and easy for the hills unless you are really unfit/lazy. Perfect ride to work - dodgy weather machine.
Good solid bike with perfect gearing to suit every situation.Very well made with quality components except for the pedals which started creaking after only 2 miles on its first spin, other than that its a great bike and it looks the biz. Thumbs up from me, I love this bike. ps. a big thanks to the Chain Reaction Team. bike was delivered the very next morning with a bag full of goodies thrown in. Thanks lads.
The Vee1 arrives in a huuuge box. Attach bars and pedals and it's ready to ride. It was set up for left/front braking but was easy to swap round. The build is impressive for the price: an unfussy frame with track ends, decent chainset and wheels, nice finishing kit. The bars strike me as very wide at 69cm. Jump on and ride and it puts a smile on your face, it's so direct and the brakes really work. Actually bought this for my 12 year-old but handed it over with some reluctance. He's pleased though. Five stars because of its value, ride and sheer fun.

There are three basic steps in the bike-sizing process:
1] Measure your dimensions accurately and carefully
2] Use the table below to figure out which size will fit you best
3] Once your bike has arrived use our setup guide to adjust the components to fit you, and you're ready to ride!
The majority of our sizing guides take into consideration your height and inside leg as it gives you two points of reference to help choose the right bike size for you.
All measurements are best taken in your bare feet and with the help of someone else.
Stand upright against a wall with your legs together and shoulders back.
Place a pencil on the top of your head and mark the wall, measure to the mark and take a note of your height in feet and inches.
To measure your inside leg, stand barefoot and measure from the floor, up the inside of your leg.
