been using this rear mech the X9 shifter for about 6 months now and love it offers quick smooth gear changes. had an X7 shifter and mech combo before which was also good but not as resilient. i have rode downhill, freeride, street, trials, singletrack and 4x with sram mechs and would never even think about going back to shimano stuff.
i bought this derailer to replace my x7 which was a good mech but his is just even better again, I had an xt mech on my last bike and this has much more of a solid feel and the shift has a much more possitive feel about it, i am running with x7 shifters and it is spot on i imagine it would be even better with x9 ones. All in all a quality product wish i could afford the x0 as that must be awsome if this is anything to go by.
This is easily the best rear mech i have ever owned. 10,000 times better than my old deore. never skips and every shift is perfect no matter what speed your going at. once set up well will never have any trouble. I dont get how shifting could get any better, so it seems pointless gettin X0, but im sure every shift would be like a praty in my pants if i did get X0 :)
