I bought these shoes (the 2010 version which just seem cosmetically different) for MTB & X-Country duathlons. Most MTB shoes are too stiff to run in and Fell shoes can't take a cleat. These are a fantastic compromise between the two: stiff enough for MTB and flexible and grippy enough for off-road running. The fact that they are velcro-free means that mud doens't clog - a short-term weight saving and long-term velcro loses its grippiness. The closing system works really well.
I've no complaints after 2 outings but guess that the sole may wear on harder running surfaces.

Compré estas botas por recomendación de un amigo, y la verdad es que no me arrepiento. El diseño es muy bonito, y el cierre me encanta; ya se que esos cordones finos parecen algo débiles, pero la verdad es que funcionan muy bien con el cierre rápido, mucho mejor que el velcro cuando usamo nuestra bicicleta en dias de barro.
Estuve mirando el modelo superior, el Mantra, y lo que me hecho para atrás, a parte del precio, el el velcro y ése tono plateado brillante.
Estas simplemente parecen unas botas de montaña, con esos tacos tan pronunciados, y son lo suficientemente blandas/rigidas como para subir trialeras complicadas a pié, y por otro lado pedalear eficientemente.
Muy recomendable.

Great design, very light etc BUT I have been wearing these shoes for 6 months and the internal area withing the toe section has worn through so my toes are now rubbing on the outer layer which has also started to wear through. Hoping they are under warranty!!!
