Superb pedals!
Ok, maybe only for XC/trail riding. If you're at the top of a steep descent and you miss the spud side you've still got a fairly grippy toothed side on the other. But that doesnt matter, your foot ALWAYS seems to find the spud, telepathic pedals! No creaking, the bearings seem to be very good quality. They look cool as well, no matter how muddy you get them they always shine. I can understand that it wont be any good for jumping/DH use but for XC and long-distance trail riding they're the nuts!
Started using them recently as a first foray into SPD's - the multi release cleats are ideal for this.
Much easier to use than I anticipated - beats toeclips by a mile.
Allows use with ordinary shoes when necessary or convenient.
I am delighted with them and would recommend them to anyone.
I commute 100 miles per week all year round and these pedals are spot-on. My foot clips in as if by telepathy, they have never unclipped when they shouldn't and always let go when they should (ie. in a come-off!). And when you just want to nip to the shop and can't be bothered with the SPD shoes, they do that too. Highly recommended!
