These baby's have become my main glove unless it gets bitterly cold then i upgrade to the thermal versions of these sealskins. I've been cycling when its zero and above degrees C and it was only the tip of me thumbs which suffered, but on the straights I just took me thumb out of its enclosure and rode with the thumb tucked into my palm until it warmed which was only a couple of mins. The grip is good, but if you come off then these baby's will protect but only a few times before they are shredded. XC/singletrack riders only need apply for these. Quite nimble to use when on, its best not to take them off like with any glove when trying to get money out of camelbak. Good glove all round, just wont take the bashing like other gloves, but then thats not what they are meant for.
I bought my first pair a few months back when it was pretty much the worst autumn weather season. I was immediately amazed how well they performed in all weather conditions, ranging from pouring rain to nicest sunny days. Now it's -20 degrees centigrade here and amazingly these are still the only gloves I'm wearing on my 3-4 hour rides. Sure, they are not warm enough for road riding in sub zero temperatures but you'll be just fine wearing these while beating the bushes with your MTB - even down to -20 centigrade.
It was raining the day these gloves arrived so went out a test ride. Worked very well, kept my hands dry. But they are bulkier/thicker than they look and I lost some of the ride feel compared to normal gloves, but thats the price you have to pay I guess
