I bought this bike after deciding to do something about my weight. I used to ride BMX bikes in my youth. I have not riden a bike for 15 years so was a bit apprehensive. This bike is superb in nearly every way. It looks great, very easy to set up out of the box and is very light. What impressed me most was the build quality. I am a coded welder by trade and in my professional opinion the welding on this frame is second to none. All the parts on the bike seem to be quality items, (bearings, brake levers, chain etc). My only gripe is the pedals supplied are cheapo plastic ones. I took it out for my first ride and immediately felt comfortable and confident. It can be difficult to hill start because of the gear ratio and my weight but possible. it is a great cruiser, riding over bumps with ease. Did 6 miles on first trip out, all of it off road, at speed. It is good that the cost of the bike is in the necessary bits, not wasted on rubbish that is not needed. I think this bike will last many years, with little maintenance.
i was after a single speed mountain bike style do anything bike and the vitus caught my eye wow what an awesome bike the 29" wheels are great and roll fast its a do anything go anywhere machine and a bargin at this price, on my first ride i took it out for a 30 mile trek on road, towpath and some off road and it ate it up, the ride was smooth and fast on all terrains goodbye gears, suspension and 26" wheels hello vitus vee-1 29er
I love this bike so far, all parts seem durable and even the breaks and pedals seem like good quality.
I did replace the stock saddle with a Brooks Swift, not because there's anything wrong with the stock saddle, only that it is not very comfortable, after my first two short rides, my butt already hurt from the beating it took, but the first 40km/25mile ride with a not yet broken in Brooks saddle was already noticeably better than the stock saddle.
Word of advice though, the bike is not street legal at least in denmark. Apart from lights, the bike is missing both front, rear and side reflectors along with a bell. I know of course that I like the much cleaner look of the bike like this, but I also know that in the dark I will be invisible on my stealthy black bike.

There are three basic steps in the bike-sizing process:
1] Measure your dimensions accurately and carefully
2] Use the table below to figure out which size will fit you best
3] Once your bike has arrived use our setup guide to adjust the components to fit you, and you're ready to ride!
The majority of our sizing guides take into consideration your height and inside leg as it gives you two points of reference to help choose the right bike size for you.
All measurements are best taken in your bare feet and with the help of someone else.
Stand upright against a wall with your legs together and shoulders back.
Place a pencil on the top of your head and mark the wall, measure to the mark and take a note of your height in feet and inches.
To measure your inside leg, stand barefoot and measure from the floor, up the inside of your leg.
