I too went for the oversized verson and totally agree with what's already been said. Especially about the rise issue. It may only be a low rise bar, but the upsweep on the O/S version is quite a lot more than the standard diameter version.
This is in fact the reason I bought it. I find it extremely comfortable to hang on to. Also because Easton gave me a really quick reply to an email detailing the bar :) In it they said that for the O/S version they wanted a shape that was a little more 'moto'.
Whatever it is, it works for me :)
Comes very very highly recommended
I specced these bars for my new custom build bike and they're great. I found I was still missing the alternative hand position offered by bar ends so I've been back to my LBS for the purchase. They told me these particular bars are tough enough to take bar ends without internal plugs so that's what I have had fitted. No problems apparent
My first carbon bar. It's very good at filtering out the trail buzz that usually leaves me with numb hands & sore wrists. It's very stiff too, the LBS staffer demonstrated the tuffness of Easton Carbon bars by trying to snap an EC90SL across his knee, I have to admit that I would have laughed my nuts off if it had snapped but alas it didn't. All in all I am very pleased with them, and to anyone who is worried about carbon nano fibres finding their way into your bloodstream & causing brain damage, don't, just think of how much money you'll get when you sue.
