SixSIxOne is pushing product development to the limits to build a range that exceeds the standards within the motocross and mountain bike industries. Their designers incorporate the newest technology to provide quality products that excel in comfort and protection.
Key technologies for the 661 Rhythm Knee/Shin Guard body protection:
X-fit design: X-fit design minimizes the bunching that neoprene and other protective gear materials do as the rider’s joints go through a range of motion.
Abrasion Resistance: Materials and forms developed to withstand scuffs and scrapes with minimal wear.
Knee Guard protection specifications:
Breathable perforated EVA foam
Durable abrasion resistant outer mesh
Internal silicone gripper
Stretch sleeve chassis
The 2012 661 range of body armour protection is now available from Chain Reaction Cycles, the online bicycle store for the amateur to the professional cyclists.
Keeps you focused on the trails as you don't have to keep on pulling your knee guards up. comfortable and light enough that i don't mind cycling with them for from home all the way to the trails. Kinda serves as a compression and guards in one. Safe enough and very useful for the not so technical but mosquito infested trails here in Singapore.
Keeps you focused on the trail as you don't need to keep on pulling it up. Light and comfortable enough that i don't mind wearing them for about from home(15km away) all the way to the trails and back. Serves as a compression/guard/UV protection in one. Good enough for the not so treacherous but mosquito infested trail here in Singapore.
Having bought these a week ago I can safely say these are well worth the buy. I'm 6 ft 3 with quite big thighs and the XL fits like a dream! I tested them out by jumping onto my knees wearing them and it cushioned the impact quite well. They aren't obstructive at al when you are cycling and you barely notice you are wearing them. I was sceptical as most compression fit gear has issues staying in place however these pads barely budge!
I would recommend buying this product if you do XC or moderate downhill racing. Obviously for more intense downhill you would need more solid pads but these are perfect for entry level stuff.
