Better value the the 'Mini Tool 19' - which comes with a couple of extra tiny tools and a rather pointless (but pretty) metal box. The 17 has a pleasingly beefy rubber band which stops it from opening up in your pack and helps keeps unused tools out the way when you're using it. It has all the hex, torx and screwdriver bits you're likely to need in an emergency and they're all excellent quality - so they're unlikely to round off when you need them. This, a puncture kit and pump is all you really need for most rides.
This is a very good tool. It is very strong and rigid - no flex in it when you apply a lot of force. Something I found with some Park Tools or any other 'plastic' tools. The rubber band is useful for keeping unused tools in the main body when you are using one particular tool. My only slight niggles is that it would be useful to have a simple blade on it, and for some locking mechanism to lock the tool you are using at the time; the hex keys and screwdrivers are a bit sort to hold onto easily when getting in amongst the rear mech. Don't bother with Multi-19.
i got one of these for xmas and have been really impressed with it, its been a real life saver out on the trail. i disagree with other reviews about the chain tool not having enough leverage, i've used it loads of time now and have not had a problem. sometimes its a bit of a struggle but you get there in the end. In the past i've broken so many chain tools, this one is miles better. buy one of these you won't regret it.
