Mega DH/All Mountain Frame 2012
Inspired by the explosion in Megavalanche-style Enduro DH events and evolved from a prototype that placed highly in the 2009 run of the actual event, the Mega frame is built to take the unique combinations of challenges thrown up by Enduro-style DH events and general All-Mountain adventure. Offering 150mm rear travel and designed to match with 150-170mm forks up front the Mega is a versatile frame that combines plush descending prowess with pedalling efficiency. Suspension-wise, the Mega uses our 'Erosion' linkage giving a smooth progressive action with a well controlled mid-stroke to avoid wallowing under pedal loads. Main bearing pivots are contained within a bespoke CNC-machined Bottom Bracket Assembly to ensure alignment, durability and precision, while an asymmetric chainstay design gives clearance for a double front derailleur (with a 22t-36t chainring set up) and compatibility with all leading models of ISCG-05 mounted chain retention systems.
Geometry is based around a 66deg head angle and 75deg seat angle, with a BB height of 13.69” for climbing and descending prowess. A 44mm headtube standard keeps the front of the bike light, with Nukeproof headset options allowing all fork steerer option compatibility.

After reading various reviews, I took the plunge and bought one. Built it up myself with revelation 150mm and SRAM kit. result is the happiest I've been on a full susser. The monarch is a very pleasant surprise, extremely plush and well matched with the fork. But the frame in medium is perfect - the seat angle and headtube geo' are bob on for my style of riding. great for climbing and it wants to go fast on the decents! taking it to the alps this year so we'll really see what it can do. and how's this for manufacturer customer service, my frame's fine but every 2011 Mega owner is getting a new rear triangle no questions because one or two failures - apparently. So, I'm convinced - worth money - cheaper than most big names and great handling - nuff said!

Bought one for a trip to the alps this summer, and it is fantastic. it replaces a downhill bike i was hardly using, and a trail bike that i wasn't happy with. Angles are great, rides like a hardtail, climbs well for what it is. why bother with anything else? sizing was a worry, as i never rode one first, but my large fits great at 6'3'' with a Reverb.

Frame came w/o Rshock i was shocked, but CRC customers service was great! R shock came after clarification. Setup fox talas, SRAM, SLX brakes, HP2 evo lace NP rims using riser bar 30mm. Handles climbing, descents, 4-5ft drop well. Overall feels quite light, size M geo for 1.76m. Take note the head angle is bit low on the front, change frm low half inch to full inch rise bar to avoid nose down on jumps. Overall 8.5/10.
