Rode one of these Bel Airs for 7 hours around the Merida 100 Rhayader Enduro on a demo bike. This saddle is very comfortable, you just won't notice it's there. My own saddle is a WTB Rocket Stealth Ti which is if any thing marginally more comfy. However, the Bel Air seems a little easier to slide over the back of when you want to put your weight way back for a steep descent. Buy with confidence.
Having not been on my bike for some 4 months over the winter I committed the cardinal sin of buying and fitting a new saddle to my hardtail before I started riding again. Imagine my surprise to find that my rear end is totally cossetted with this saddle. I've tried stacks of saddles in the past but I can honestly say this is the best & most comfy one I have ever come across. Long rides - short rides - no butt pain !!!!. I'm going to buy another for my full suspension bike & am trying to find a way to get one on my road bike as well as it's not really styled as a road saddle.
Really great saddle - in response to some of the reviewers saying that the rails creak - they do!... but it can be easily rectified. Pop bike upside down (or even better just take out seat post), undo the small screws on the bottom of the saddle which will mean that a couple of plastic panels will come away and just put a small amount of good quality teflon grease around where the rails run into the seat body - after 30 or 40 mins of riding to work the grease in, the creaks will be gone! I find that thorough washing with a degreaser or long wet rides cause the creaking - this simple remedy has worked everytime for me!
