Tired of re-tightening your headset? So are we. To combat this common problem we have produced an engineered solution. Two aluminium wedges simply pull together and expand inside any 1.1/8 steerer giving you a solid thread to pull the stem down. Sounds simple? It is. This is topped off with a laser engraved, anodised aluminium cap and aluminium bolt.
NOTE, Before use take apart and grease all if the internal threads and surfaces that have to slide against one another (NOT the surface that will touch the inside of the steerer!), failure to do this will make it feel tight before it is. This makes it tempting to tighten even more, this is a light weight alloy bolt, it will snap if over tightened. Grease threads and surfaces and it will be fine.

Came with my enduro headset put it on and never needed to tighten it again, it pushes the steerer tube into the headset giving a really tight headset, mine never snapped, you lot must not be fitting it properly thats all i can say and who ever said above that hope stuff is getting crapper is wildly mistaken hope do some of the best bike parts in the world, and thats why the pro's use em
I`ve had one of these on my bike now for 18 mths with absolutely no problems at all, bolts do not snap when tightened correctly. Its an ADJUSTER the bolt is not supposed to be tight, and as for the jet engine builder and anybody else claiming their Headsets come loose,no Headset adjuster can cause this problem, its your stem clamped to your steerer that keeps everything tight. That problem is usually caused by knackered bearings or the bearing cups are not seated in the frame correctly. This IS a quality bit of kit buy one. And i`m a factory trained Motorcycle Technician and have been for 21yrs NUFF SAID!
Anyone who's snapped a bolt has been too ham fisted! - You just don't over tighten alloy bolts thats function is not load bearing!!!
The Head Doctor is a superb product the best headset adjuster by far I got mine with my Hope headset and when I changed to Chris King and it came with a star nut the first thing I checked was that the Chris King bolt was the same thread as the Head Doctor, It was so I used it with my Chris King - NUFF SAID!!
