I went through three other pairs of MTB type shoes and I have to say these boys stick to flat pedals like you wouldn't believe (and they are also SPD). I have DMR V8 and V12 and these shoes stick to them like glue. Ok, they may not have a strap or lace clip at the side but tuck them deep into the side of the shoe and you're off. Very very comfy and they don't look at all bad. Unless you wear bright white socks that is. Go on buy em, I'm UK size 11 so got the 45s and they fit perfect.
these shoes are poorly made, major design fault. same as the bmxer the plastic plate cracked after bout 2 weeks of having them then snapped altogether makin it impossible to ride. they are also very heavy, save up bit more an get proper spd shoes from shimano or cannondale
