This specially developed tubing is Pro-Lite answer to Scandium tubing.
PBS tubing was four years in development and PRO-LITE is the only frame producer in the world to be able to produce such high quality frames out of this amazing material.
Pro-Lite has now concluded a long series of tests on a whole new range of frame tubings in alloy and carbon fibre composites. These exhaustive tests, which have been ongoing for many months, have had the objective of allowing the design and creation of tubing sets that, in common with all the Pro-Lite product range, bring professional-quality products to the market at a price that most can afford.
PBS 7046 aluminium alloy frame tubing:
• PBS - Power, Body and Soul Alloy tubing is a 7000 series alloy tube, drawn specifically to give optimal stiffness and power transfer in each part of the frame, whilst providing a light and supple ride.
• 7046 is 16% stronger than 7005 and 12% Lighter, Providing a truly superb ride time and time again.

| I just finished the project "Cuneo". Controletech lightening fork, American Classics wheels, Conti gp4000 tyres, Ultegra groupset, Deda alu components... weight 7,3kg. Frame looks and feels really well made, tubes has diamond like cross section. Yes, and frame is light as claimed. I have to wait for road test, there is a bit too much snow out there.. So far full five stars. |

| Bought this frame in the gloss white version to replace my six-year-old alu bike. Finished it with a Ritchey Pro fork, SRAM Force groupset, Criterium Light wheels, Ritchey WCS c**kpit/seatpost and SLR saddle. Complete it weighs around 7.2kg
The frame feels stiff with tight cornering and good acceleration. With climbing it is nervous, whitch allows for the better throwing around of the bike. As I prefer to ascend standing on the pedals, I consider this a pro.
Top-tube and down-tube are triangular shaped. I like especially the looks of the horizontal rear fork, whitch is oval-shaped. The paintjob does well in looks, unfortunately it is a bit fragile.
All in all excellent value for money on this frame. Considering the price it recieves the full five stars (though it obviously can't compete with the expensive carbon frames). |
