To the person criticising this tool for not having spanner flats - you're missing the point! To undo, you need to undo the crank bolts first. Plus, the idea is to do up finger tight to just load the bearings (if you had spanner flats, it's more than likely you'd overtighten) Tool works fine.

the shimano hollowtech II crank install tool is perfect for installing and removing hollwotech II cranks. one of those bits of kit which saves you time and does the job easily with no fuss or fiddle. essential for correct installation of that bolt which nothing else will fit.

A cheap and simple tool that does exactly what is intended, effectively and with no fuss, and without recourse to unsuitable items eg. screwdrivers/knives etc. Buy one - you will use it.
