This rack is really sturdy and works brilliantly with a matching Topeak bag. Adjusting the QR to get the right clamping-strength takes a bit of time initially but once set up the system is simplicity itself.
If you have a bike with rear suspension the A-type model should keep the rack clear of the back wheel at full compression- it does on my medium frame Specialized FSR.

Bought this rack to replace my full pannier rack when I upgraded to discs. It looks good, is easy to fit and though lightweight is pretty sturdy and meaty.

Its designed for the Topeak MTX system, but my racktop bag means that the velcro strap has to reach around the beam and not locate on the underside, which gives the bag a bit of a wobble.

Its also a little short for my bag.

That said, its a good rack and I shall probably cure the issues by upgrading my bag to the MTX bag for convenience, it will be worthwhile.

A nice touch is the light bracket which is included, unlike some other racks which necessitate a separate bracket, my smart light clips straight in with no fear of it falling off

Two points to ponder:

Although a really good piece of kit, the A Type sits too high for my bike and I cannot get the MTX bag on or off as the clip sits RIGHT under my saddle - even with the bracket located way down my stem. The quick release system (which is nice and sturdy) rubs my legs as I pedal.

However, I wrote to CRC and they are very kindly going to exchange or refund me. So that's a good peace of mind policy and I will definitely purchase more from them in future.
