For me it was a toss-up between this and one of the larger CamelPaks. The overriding factor was that the lobo is smaller and hence fits and wears very well and just about holds all I could need. Its obvious that a lot of time has gone into this well thought-out pack.
If you're the kind of person who feels edgey about riding without 3 inner tubes, a big pump, half your tool kit and some sarnies then look elsewhere. However, if you can get by travelling lighter then I definitely recommend this pack. It fits extremely well, so well I pretty much forget its there from the off, even when full. Typically I carry a minipump in the small purpose-build pocket; phone and food bars in the top flap; do-it-all multitool, spare tube, camera, money, keys etc in the main pocket (which has some handy internal webbing btw); and finally a windproof/jumper bundled into the laces on the back.
Its a bit of a pinch but the main pocket is bigger than you think and its compact size makes up for it. It is expensive but good value for money in my book. Idea for 1-4 hours riding no problems.
This pack is geared for rides up to 2 and half hours.
Excellent for enduro events and doesn't ride up and hit you in the back of the neck as some of the larger packs can do on rocky decents. Space covers the essentials, tubes, levers, multitool and energy foods. Snug fit; this pack cleans up quite well.
The downside of this pack is that the plug is an absolute bars tard to unscrew when empty.
That aside worth the money.
I have resisted wearing anything on my back for too long as i'm a sweaty g1t. However, a weekend in afan put me straight and the Lobo was awesome. I genuinely didn't feel like i was wearing it and it had enough room for waterproof, inner tube, tools, first aid, wallet, mobile and a couple of energy bars. So easy to use and live with and looks the biz, not that we care about that eh ???
