I used to have the older version of these in red...they were the best brakes i have ever had. This model looks a lot better...like the levers...ordered these brakes and considering Magura did a complete remake of these brakes they still look as powerful as ever...one thing that might spoil the look is the booster has to go backwards but improves the performance...Very well made and i hope they are easy to fit...Well Done ! ! !
I was a bit apprehensive about these but needed good brakes for the Alps.
A bit of fiddle setting up, but no more than any well set up V brake, even with cutting the hose. What a difference. The modulation in these lets you control the bike better, you will need to put the boosters on as these are so powerful they flex the frame!
these brakes are amazing. i ride trials and they easily hold bout 3-4 times your weight (when gapping to back wheel)
these are probably THE best brakes every they are relativly cheap and have amazing stoping power.
whats more is i fitted ther 2004 vertion to my bike and they worked great for 5 years with no adjustment and no bleeding (except new pads)
MAGURA simply awsome!!!
the 2005 brake booster works much better and looks better.
