Smart White LED Front Light (inc Batt) The single ULTRA BRIGHT White LED in the Smart 301ww is very effective for being seen in the dark. It is visible from up to 1000 metres, which gives the rider a great piece of mind. Ideal as a night-time back up or poor visibility light.
You are never going to see in the dark with this, but thats not what its used for.
Riding 2km-3km to the pub on lit roads and need a light to be seen and this will just about do. Then just slip it in your pocket, its about the size of a 50p coin.
This LED is quite bright and works well as a to-be-seen light. However, it requires 'N' size batteries which are quite expensive and not as widely available as say AAA batteries. Also, mild vibration will cause the circuit to change from steady mode to flashing.
