Very comfotable and secure. It is pricery but it is very well designed and does what it says on the tin. I don't see the need for this bag to be waterproof as it's meant to hold your water a few tools and a bit of grub and that's it. Its light, its just the right size and has handy bungee webbing if you need to carry a big jacket or something. Very handy clip for your car keys in one of the pockets. I know I always used to have nightmares about dropping my keys on a trail while fumbling for something. Not any more. Very happy and it's the one most people in my club use.
Iv got the 2006 model and it is great
It is small but big enough for food, tools, water and even my homemade first aid kit lol. The bungee straps are great i had a hoody and a waterproof coat in the. you cant get your lid in the bag when it has stuff in it but u can put your helmet straps round the bag and rest it on the outer pocket. In general i very handy and good bag, it does everything you ask of it(but my water bag thing split) and it also sits really well on your back. :-) 10/10

I've got the 2006 model and have found it to be a great day bag - enough room for tools, spare tube, jacket and snacks, just. If you need more than this then you need to get the HAWG instead.
Bladder works well and is easy to fill and clean.
Tough bag that should last ages. If the 2007 is at least as good then it's worth getting.

I have the 2006 model; there doesn't seem to be much difference.
It's a nicely made bag and sits very securely and comfortably on your back. Forget about litres: it's a small bag that really will only take the essentials - food, tools, spare tube and a jacket. That's enough for most of us, but if you need to carry more look elsewhere.
The resevoir is great - easy to clean, leak-proof and the bite valve is fantastic.
You'll still sweat with this, but less than with other bags. The "air director" pads are quite thin and get squashed flat when the water resevoir is full.
My major gripe is that none of the zips are waterproof; this is ridiculous for a bag this price.
Overall - a nice bag, but I think you pay too much for the Camelbak name. Average for the money.

I'd rate this higher if it cost less. I feel a real sucker for having spent so much and got so little. The zips aren't waterproof and there's no rain cover - the light material lets the rain in easily. It's tiny - you can hardly squeeze anything in when the water bladder is filled. With a full water bladder the back of the back flattens into your back and you sweat just like you would with any cheap bag.
The bladder is OK; buy it separately and pair it up with another backpack.
