| I just got the frame and just wanted to let others know about the build quality. Unlike former reviews, my welds look 100% perfect. Smooth, no gaps, no burs, no blems as far as I can see. I'll give a ride review as soon as I get some saddle time. Ragley must have made some changes/had the factory make changes to improve the build/weld qualit. |

| just picked on up for £245 and well worth every penny! the welding on my frame is clean and tidy (18" skwoosh) and the ride quality is exellent with the fabled steel spring and compliance adding to a more comfortable ride over alu, cable routing looks trick and makes shifting quality last longer due to full enclosed cable routing.if your looking for a trick steel trail bike this is more than up to the job and perfect! buy now! |

| Magnifique cadre ! |

Finally built my bike. Feels very responsive and looks the business and am genuinely well pleased.
Only quibbles with quality were with the thread for the hanger bolt appears to have been cut badly as it took a bit more effort to tighten the bolt than I expected. This may have been due to paint egress also the screws heads for the cabling system 'rounded'so will need to be replaced at some point, preferable for something a little sturdier. For the price tho, these are minor niggles. Absolutely love the bike |

| GREAT FRAME FOR MOST UK RIDING SPOTS, CAN FEEL STRANGE TO RIDE AT FIRST AS BB IS QUITE HIGH- EVEN WITH 140MM REVS, MAYBE JUST ME- BUT OTHERWISE A GREAT RIDE FROM TRAIL CENTRE TO LOCAL DH LOOP- WOULD BE NICE TO SEE BOLT ON MECH HANGER- OR MAYBE AS THINGS ARE GOING THAT WAY ANYWAY, A MAXLE REAR END- OTHER THAN THAT IF YOU RIDE A BIT OF EVERYTHING- THE BLUEPIG IS EVERYTHING YOU NEED....10/10 |

| Got my Blue Pig in October 2009, having become tired of lugging around a 5" full suss bike and it's put in some tough winter miles since then. This frame does exactly what I wanted from a modern hardcore steel hardtail. The steep seat tube angle helps to ease the climbs considerably, but that slack head angle really lets you rip on the downs. First ride out I was passing full suss bikes on the fast downs of Cwm Carn. The mud clearance is enormous, even with my current 2.35 tyres. The bike is so stable, it allows you to really get to grips with tough technical terrain without needing to dab. This frame is simply superb value and just what a long fork modern hardtail should be. And, of course, you get that great steel ride thrown in as well. Can't recommend it enough. |

| I bought the blue pig before xmas and built it up with a 4 year old 130mm fox float and some decent components. I was really getting the bike as a spare because I had just bought a new fork for my turner 5 spot. I've taken it out 4 or 5 times, and I have been really, really pleased so far; it climbs like a goat, is very responsive, very comfortable for a hard tail, and surprisingly confidence inspiring on downhills and hucks. I've been launching 2-4 footers with no concern and no problem. The primary thing about this bike is that it is really, really fun to ride. |

I'm the guy who wrote the first review and I just wanted to give some other, more mature impressions. After roughly 9 months I can confirm all the positive impressions!! It's really comfortable for an hardtail (I don't notice this while on pavement but it's really effective on small bumps - for instance rough cobbled paving, as found in many trails in my region) and the geometry works perfect. With 140mm Pike fitted the front wheel stays glued to the ground in all the steeps but the steepest ones (> 20-25%); I am convinced that it would handle very well also with a 160mm fork if you don't do many steep climbs. With regards to the downhill, well it's really able to reach scaring speeds. It begs to be ridden hard and wild and it's immensely fun to ride!! A real fun machine, can not find any fault apart from the pretty heavy weight (but then it's cheap and indestructible so it's a minor flaw =)!!!) |

| I bought this to replace my 6" AM frame. The slack geometry is so much fun descending, now that I'm used to the frame I'm just as fast as when I had rear suspension. I run tubeless (highly recommended for the rear at least) and am often worried how smooth rock gardens are. After checking my tires after every rocky section I've learned to just accept the surprisingly buttery ride of this hard tail. Having said that it will definitely punish you more for losing your line, but that is part of the fun of riding a hard tail. Cornering, the bike feels very neutral and has awesome snap out of corners. Climbing it feels great too because all of your power gets transferred to the ground. Overall I love the frame, everything felt right from the first day I rode it and now it feels like an extension of my body. This frame is dialed I highly recommend it (and look at the freakin price)! |

| First bike build, first mtb hardtail. Frame quality, weld and cabling are superb. Now the general build, Revelation team air 120-150mm, Azonic bar (740wide), 60mm Truvativ stem, Nuke proof generator wheels yellow rims Maxxis Hi-roller 42a front, 60a rear. Looks brilliant! Weight just under 31lb. Impressions compared to my Marin Wolfridge. It's the dogs! whips round hairpins, nails berms 3-4 jumps with ease. Blasted the New rock section at a wet Llandegla whilst my mates tiptoed on full sussers. If you're looking for a hardtail build don't be conned by more expensive frames. Like the guys here have said, this frame is multi-talented. Don't expect miracles riding over rocky foot paths though you have to remember we're talking steel tubes not RP23 out back, of course lower tyre pressure would make that more comfy. This bike frame is about the massive grin factor! |

| solid comfy, ragley inspires confidence going down but despite the weight it has a good traction uphill ... It's not heavy -i think - the right definition is strong and elastic. Very nice in black colour. I like how it rides, that's all. |

Got mine for £187, frame well finished with some nice design features such as stays, cable routing etc. (There was some paint in the rear mech threads, but this was easily cleared with a bit of care.) Built up with last years Pikes, SLX group, mavic tubeless on hope hubs. Rides really well, nimble, front easy to loft quick to accelerate. Used a ragley seat clamp - wasnt too enamouredwith this as seat pin keeps slpping Masses of tire frame clarance, can easilly accomodate continental rubber queens 2.4"
Unbeatable value! |

| I bought this mainly because of the great geometry and friends who are hardcore steel guys. It is true, steel does feel much more compliant (after a Cove Stiffee!) and this thing is bang on for all trail riding - who needs full sus anyway? Love the little details that you can point out to the guys on £4000 Ibis's etc and they still go 'ahh', like the chainstay caliper and funky cable clamps. On the downside, the welding on the gusseted head tube is rubbish, and the gusset itself has jagged edges visible like it was a waste piece that somebody bent to shape and stuck in anyway. Even if this is to increase weld contact area or whatever it shouldn't be visible! Also there are suspicious large gaps filled by weld material on the chainstay/dropout join and on the three-finger chainstay/BB shell join, about 5mm on my frame. I'm sure it's perfectly strong, but it don't look good! To sum up, rides like a dream, but if you want a work of art, buy a Sovereign or a Trans-am (or even a Trailstar!) |

I've tried this frame for only one ride but I can already assure you that is amazing! For the last 3 years I had an aluminium hardtail (Commençal Absolut AL '05) which was a sort of compromise between a street hardtail and an AM one... I got to know it perfectly, since I knew how it reacted in almost every situation (well after 3 years I think it's normal!) and loved it. But on the steeps uphill, the front whell always pulled up really easily, while on the long and rootd downhills the aluminium was not compliant at all and at high speeds it was reeeeally nervous (but then it is part of the fun of riding hardtails!)
The Blue Pig is a different thing. The steep seat angle keeps the front wheel down in even the steepest climbs (and in the Alps "steepest" means really realy really steep) and the slack head angle keeps the bike stable at high (really high) speeds. It remains an hardtail, so it still fills you with andrenaline and I'm-a-riding-god feeling, but it's somehow much stabler and more predictable than my previous hardtail. Steel is definitely more compliant than aluminium, I was comfortable all the way down with the rear tire inflated to the max just as I was with the aluminium frame with flat rear tire (at first I thought I really had a flat!!)
It's not all gold, of course. Weldings are poor and aestethically speaking it's not beautiful (at least the black one). Cable clips are a great idea but the screws provided to fix them are rubbish, the worst I've ever used (pay attention when screwing them up), really disappointing since I'll need to take them out to change cable routing and some of them are already ruined!! but after all, at this price it's impossible to have everything... and the fantastic handling is really worth every single penny! |

| I bought this frame at the end of June in a 16'' version to suit my 5ft 9 inch hight, firstly the detailing on this frame is fantastic, there was no sign of blemishes in any of the welds or shrapnel in the threaded areas or welding splatters I got it checkd by an ex commercial welder and it was given the thumbs up, the cable routing is very neat and exact and I have the option of putting it underneath the top tube or offset on the down tube, and because of the very neat location of the brake mounts the hose can be routed either chain or seat stay, so I took absolute delight in plugging in a set of rockshox pikes, then a pair of superstar wheels finishing off with raceface finishing kit, the end articall is a bike that looks stunning, and has a riding pedigree second to none its nicly weighted toward the centre of the frame giving it a planted feel through brems etc, it climbs like a goat when your in the saddle, but because of my error in tyre choise it tends to wheel spin when I'm out of the saddle. I'm running a 45mm stem that tends to cramp the cockpit a little on longer rides, but that is all I can find to complian about, really its a fantastic versitile frame with scope to go anywhere. |
