Great pedals, I've given mine some serious stick over time, and they still work great, actually I've cycled over 1000 miles with then with only a blast of lube over them once in a blue moon, and that's the only maintenance they get. For the price you don't worry about getting them scraped, you just pop them on, and seldom think of them again, they just perform, and perform. I reckon these are great pedals. |

| Everyone has got this pedal set the reason being they are the best. Ive had mine for 3 years and had no problems. They are good for aggressive XC riding as the large base gives you an easy platform to locate when you put your foot down on the mad fast hairpins at glentress serious pedals for all even dogs would feel confident with these puppies |

| I've been (ab)using these pedals for at least 4 years and they are just about to get their 1st service. I've used for them for XC, DH etc. and they just keep doing their job. Easy to engage, even in muddy conditions plus a platform for those sketchy moments. |

| I've now had these pedals for over 6 years, and apart from lubing them now and again I have basically just left them. I originally bought them because having always used flatties, I wasn't too sure about using SPD's. The extra platform these have is confidence inspiring for the new SPD user. The platform also has the added advantage that you can ride the bike in normal shoes without any problems. A boon if you're using your bike for short trips or commuting through town and don't want the hassle of changing into your 'biking' footwear.
I've used these pedals on two bikes and in all situations, - dusty, snow, rain, mud, rocks, uphill downhill - and I really don't have any complaints. Can't understand the comments from people saying that they are to hard to click in/out of; adjust the spring grub screws until the tension is to your liking - exactly as you're recommend to by Shimano.
Not a heavy pedal, but not one for weight weenies either.
Whichever way I look at it, they're certainly worth the money and an item I wouldn't hesitate in buying again. |

| Had a pair of these for 4 years just starting to show wear now and they have been very well used. I cannot fault them and now look to buy another pair. Very firm and easy to clip in and out, secure wide platform means finding the pedal wuickly to clip in is a piece of cake. There is a plastic cradle version too but woill probably not last if you wack a rock. I've had several pedal vs rock moments and cradle has held up well with only a few scrapes. |

| Kick a** pedals, i race DH, riding at least 3 time a week plus races. pedals have stood up well to everything that has come there way, smashing in to rocks, roots and tree stumps. easy to maintain and set up. recommend..... only down side is that there not the lightest pedals in the world, after smashing other sets i have gone for a bit more strength over lightness... |

| Just bought these. They are my first clipless pedals, so I was worried how I would get on with them. Needn't have worried. They allow you to clip in easily, are secure when pedaling, and come off when you want them to. Have done just enough with them to find new muscles that haven't been used much before. Great extra power and security. I'd advise anyone thinking of moving to clipless for the first time to go ahead.
Great service again from CRC. |

| I have run these pedals on and off for three years and they are a good all round pedal. As easy to clip in and out of as most Shimano SPD pedals, with the extra security of a platform if you don't make the clip on the first attempt. But seriously, spend the extra £10 on the M647. The M647 clips and unclips more easily and the platform is way grippier. |

Not a bad pedal.
Mine got used in some fairly appalling conditions, with not too much maintenance, and they kept on going. However, treat them like this and the bindings tend to seize up a bit, and even using Shimano shoes they don't always want to let go of your feet, causing some major crashes - at least that's my excuse. |

| Had these for a couple of years and previously had shimano 424's which are the same but with plastic cages. My main gripe is that on both the 545's and 424's the right hand pedal always loses the plastic spring thing in the outside centre of the pedal. If it starts sticking out then beware - its about to fall off and leave the cage all floppy. I need to take the pedal apart ever few months to tighten it up. Come on Shimano, the thread is clearly the wrong way round so fix it. Won't buy another because it's too annoying. |
