The New 661 range of Mountain bike body armour protection featuring the Evo Pressure Suit

SixSIxOne is pushing product development to the limits to build a range that exceeds the standards within the motocross and mountain bike industries. Their designers incorporate the newest technology to provide quality products that excel in comfort and protection.

Key technologies for the 661 Evo Pressure Suit body armour:

  • Power stretch fabric: Our Power Stretch fabric is a specific polyester blend that helps wick away moisture, and cool the rider with its evaporative properties. The material performs better than traditional pressure suit materials because of its moisture management capabilities.
  • Side zip panel: Side zip paneling allows the chest piece of a pressure suit to be one piece. That one piece has the ability to do a better job of protecting the vital zone of the chest including the sternum.
  • Stretch Kevlar: resists tearing while keeping the caps and foam out of the elements to give them longer life. The stretch material also helps keep the pads as smooth and low profile as possible to eliminate snagging.
  • High Impact Memory Foam: A special impact material that has a stiff initial impact that slowly conforms to the shape of the body, which gives the protective piece a way to eliminate the heavier, air restricting hard caps that have traditionally been used in pressure suits.
  • Rock Crusher Articulating Armour: Used to eliminate the Achilles heel of body armor, by using over lapping joined hard caps that have the ability to overlap and move freely of the parts next to it. This allows the piece to stiffen when needed, yet maintain flexibility for greater comfort.

Body armour specifications:

  • Sublimated moisture wicking power-stretch fabric chassis gives great fit and ventilation
  • Stretch Kevlar® covered “Intella-Foam” protection areas for chest, shoulder, elbow and forearm
  • Articulating back plate armour
  • Adjustable straps and closures allow you to fine-tune the fit

The 661 range of body armour protection is now available from Chain Reaction Cycles, the online bicycle store for the amateur to the professional cyclists.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good value and comfort. Found this suit a great buy! Its light enough to not effect your riding while being very protective. Not much protection around the ribs however gives you more flexibility. I would recommend this to anyone looking for low priced protection with a high standard. I have a 42'' chest so the XL size fits me great. 06 February 2014

Works very well! O 661 Evo Pressure Suit é muito bonito e leve. Você pode vestí-lo e pedalar sem se sentir preso ou desconfortável. Funciona muito bem! 10 September 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This suit is brilliant I've had plenty of crashes wearing this suit and i can't fault it. stacked off an 8ft drop and then down intova ditch full of thorny bushes in Les Gets and barely even bruised myself, I just got upand rode away. the suit doesn't seem to take much damage either (except for a couple of pulled threads) and considering the price i paid (50%) I'm extremely happy 18 February 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Buy Ever! I LOVE THIS ARMOUR!!! I have had multiple off's whilst wearing this suit, and it has saved me each time. My best one was flying off the side of a 15ft high berm, then dropping through the gorse and heather on my back with the bike on top of me. I had a small graze on my lower right bicep and a smaller graze on my back. In another I broke a rib, which was bloody annoying and kept me off my bike for five weeks, but it should have been a whole heap worse! Actually, I guess if I was going to find fault that would be it, the ribs are quite vulnerable, but the rest of this suit is awesome!!! 15 September 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good and comfy I'm totally happy with the 661 evo pressure suit. It cost me a fraction of poc's alternative and after two years, it's still as good as new. The only problem was the upper elbow strap being too high and the buckle pressing into elbow bend. Sorted that by letting my girl unpick the stitches on both straps and then stitching them crossing each other so the buckles are now lower. It's hard to get of your back once your sweatty, but I bet there is that same issue with poc and others also. In fact the suit is rather tight fit. I'm 185cm 85kg and the Large suit fits so tight that arm straps are there only for a bit of support in a crash. You'd have to be a skeleton for it to be too loose. I don't feel restricted when wearing the suit, only hot when it's scorchio. I would have given five stars but because of the thing with elbow guard straps and 661 not noticing this after the suit has been on the market for so many years I only give four stars. Things have to evolve and that's not the case with this suit yet the name suggests it. It's still good though. 18 August 2012
