The 661 range of MTB helmets featuring the Recon Wired Helmet

SixSIxOne is pushing product development to the limits to build a range that exceeds the standards within the motocross and mountain bike industries. Their designers incorporate the newest technology to provide quality products that excel in comfort and protection.

Technologies for the Recon Wired MTB Helmet:

  • In-mold technology: In-mold technology uses the bonding of the shell material (polycarbonate) to the foam (EPS) to form a bond that is stronger allowing a helmet to be constructed with more vents and channeling creating the lightest, most ventilated helmet possible.
  • Detox fit system: The Detox fit system is a ratchet mechanism that adjusts the fit of the back of a helmet to give the rider a customized fit. It can be adjusted with one hand on the fly, but it is strong enough to hold its position if it is set to your perfect setting.

MTB Helmet specifications:

  • In-mold shell construction
  • 18 intake/exhaust ports
  • Extended rear profile
  • Removable visor
  • Interior channeling to aid ventilation
  • Detox Retention Fit system
  • Complies to standards: CE 1078, CPSC, and AS/NZS 2063:2008

This helmet conforms to, or exceeds EU Standards only.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfortable, light and well ventilated Having read the good reviews on CRC for this helmet I brought one and am not disappointed. It is very light and you forget you are even wearing it. It looks good too. Very pleased with this product. 23 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Отличный шлем Отличный шлем, за такие деньги, насколько качествен и прочен покажет первое падение :) 11 February 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 Good Helmet Good helmet for the money - the plastic trims are very flimsy though, but that doesn't really bother me because I just glue them back on. 08 February 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Looks cool, good head coverage, lightweight, great ventilation Sold off my 661 Comp Shifted Full Face because I don't do hardcore riding and also due to the poor ventilation. Furthermore, living in a hot & humid climate and riding on XC/AM trails, my head will be drenched with sweat! Had to change to a more suitable helmet for my kind of riding and I'm glad I got this. I've seen many reviews on sizing problems and I'm glad it fits my head perfectly even though it is very slightly loose but, it doesn't matter to me. I measure 58-60 cm and it fits fine on my head. In my opinion, helmet sizing is always an issue as different people have different head shapes. Overall, great back coverage, good ventilation and looks cool. 08 February 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by excellent lid, good fit excellent lid, good fit and good value in sale. but it's let down by paper thin pading on the front that will not stick to the velcro spot. 21 January 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by 661 Recon Wired Helmet 2013 Cheap well built and designed helmet does the job. well finished. no complaints here. you get what youre paying for. 21 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Casco muy buena relacion calidad precio. Lo he utilizado bastante y es muy cómodo y tienes sensación de protección. 18 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by A good look on the trails Went for the xl it's not as snug as I would have liked but after adapting the plastic bits on the back managed to get a closer fit. Perfect fit when wearing a bobble hat in the winter! Overall a great looking lid and value for money! 17 January 2014

Answer:
The L/XL size is listed as suitable for a 59-61cm head size so would be too small. The Cratoni L/XL and Fox L/XL both suit a 59-63cm size, so you may be able to get away with one of those. We don't currently have any open face MTB helmets suitable for a 64cm head size that I am aware of.
