Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice little pump Airwave mini pump is feather light, fits flush with the bottle cage and is really good value. There is one small but irritating design fault. There's a press in rubber cap at the base of the pump to protect it from road dirt and water from lodging in the pump but over time it usually falls out and the pump corrodes inside after a couple of years. It is something that Airwave could easing fix. That being said this is my second time purchasing this pump as it is an excellent backup when you're out of CO2. I have managed to get 100 PSI out of the Airwave mini which is quite amazing 26 September 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Ok Does the job, no complaints here. Do you notice, however, that on the image the rubber cap is loose? Well that happens while you're out cycling, too. A design fault. 11 October 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fresh air First, the grumbles. The squared off cap digs into one's paw as 100psi is reached. It should come with a gel glove. Second, the supplied bolts are a little too short. On the upside this pump will get you out of the ditch, and back on the road, it's very light, and it does get to 100psi in quite a short time though the final strokes are a grunt. The adaptor is reversible for Presto or Schrader valves. It came set to Presto. The previous review about the annoying dust cap can be circumvented. Give your Airwave Rush a pump before you attach it to the tyre, and the dust cap flicks open with a pleasant pop. The Airwave rush has a secret facility; there's an O-Ring at the base of the cap. Why? Puzzled at first, I shoved the pump into the underside of my 27.2mm seat tube, cap first. Lo and behold it's firmly held by the O-ring there as nature intended and the thick end of the pump head stops it disappearing. A pump you can hide in your removable seat-tube? You need this. It makes up for the chisel edged cap. Finally, the mount is credibly firm. The bolts may not be long enough if you have a bottle holder on there. A snip at the price I think, and a thing of some loveliness. And, you can hide it, where the sun never shines. 09 July 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Used this pump when pump when I happened to get front and rear flats 5k from home. Inflated my 23c tyres with minimal effort. The pressure wasn't far off normal pressure and I have a feeling had I put in more effort they would have fully inflated. Very compact. Great price. Looses a star for the annoyingly fiddly dust cap. Would definitely recommend. Did the job perfectly when called upon. Can't ask for much more than that. 02 June 2011
