These are great, best upper leg and but bone protection I have worn, these are more like motor cross protection than MTB.
I have ridden 35+ km in these and they are fine. They have no saddle padding but you don't need it if you have a good seat.
Also they are great if you don't mind looking like the predator when you take your shorts of.
I have had many falls with these on and every time I get up with no probs, these have saved me from a lot of upper leg injuries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Way too expensive but great at what they do. After seriously bad bruising and a haematoma on my thigh I eventually bought a pair. he hard armour with softer stuff underneath is the perfect solution. If in doubt go for the larger of the two sizes you are debating between.

Expensive but they protect the most frequently injured area of my body - bought them after having 260ml fluid drained out of a haematoma on my thigh. The hard armour covers the area perfectly and they have nice soft padding underneath too. Quite a snug fit, if in between sizes I'd go for the larger size.

I got these for dh. Luckily I haven't really had a chance to test them by falling on them but If i ever took a direct hit I'm sure they would do a great job of protecting me. they don't restrict me but I do notice that they fall down a bit alot.

Have owned these for a few weeks now, I actually use them for longboarding rather than MTB riding, and for this they are great. The mesh does a good job of stopping you getting hot and they have a serious amount of padding, reinforced with the white plastic you can see in the picture. Not crashed in them yet, but I'm confident they'll do a good job of protecting me. I hardly notice them once they're on. Made sure I ordered a sizer to give me a nice tight fit, the sizing chart was spot on.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous Not bad but not padded for cycling
Not as good as the Dainese performacne shorts, not padded for cycling and no protection on the buttocks, saying that the hip protectors are much better - bigger and sit better ..
