Rated 5 out of 5 by Mark74 One of the better knee guards out there
These are one of the best knee guards that I've ridden with. Very comfortable and most importantly they don't slide off your leg like some other guards do. Worth putting your money on a pair of these. Real deal knee guards, look no further.

Really good shin pads.. love the quick release mechanism once the pads have been setup to your leg you can just use the red clips to take the pads off with ease.
really good protection as soon as i put them on the felt safe and protected, and as the day went on they did a good job at taking the hits with out putting me in any pain =]

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous Really Comfortable
At first I thought they were expensive, however I heard great things about Alpine and went ahead and ordered them. So far I have found these to be very comfortable.
The straps are double layered so you don't have any velcro rubbing on your leg, and come with two attachments (clips and velcro) which help with a nice snug fit. I bought small/medium and was concerned they might be too big, however, these are fine. I haven't had any problems with them twisting or moving out of place. My only dislike is the fact the plastic part of the knee/shin pad does not cover the whole of the front of the pad and the fact that your leg is open to the elements at the back where the straps go round your leg.
I have also landed on my knees after coming off my bike and survived with no major bruises wearing them.
Apart from that lovely comfortable purchase and they look good too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Great Product
I wear this product specifically for freeride/DH usages. I'm comming off a set of Roach shin pads, and this are superior in every way. They are light-weight, extremely comfortable, and have great ventilation. The buckle system if very convenient for putting them on or taking them off quickly. The pads are very secure with no noticiable shifting. I attribute part of this to the location of the middle strap, which is situation above the calf, which helps to prevent the pads from sliding down your leg. I've only wore them for two days of park riding, so I can't comment on long term durability, but the materials all seem top-notch, nothing cheap and flimsy, and all workmanship seems good as well (stiching, etc.), so I can't see these pads failing to meet any reasonable durability expectations. As far as protection, I didn't experience any crashes, but just based on the feel of the pad, they will be at least comparable to any other hard-shelled knee pad (definitely as good or better than my Roaches).
Overall, if you need a full length knee/shin pad for DH type usage, you will not regret purchasing the Alpinestar Moab.
