Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 24 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Whole new riding experience. Wanted to replace the original 110mm stem on my Giant Anthem which always felt a bit long, hanging too far forward especially on steep descents. Tried a Crank Brothers 50mm first, influenced by what I read about advantages of very short stems. Nice piece of kit but too twitchy for me. Went for 80mm version of Answer Rove next and liked it from ride 1. Slightly more upright riding position, easier to get off back of seat for downhill, quick, responsive steering without being too jumpy even with my 670mm bars. Looks and feels solid/well made. 8 degree lift just right angle for me. Not too heavy. White finish matches bike frame nicely. Top cap and extra spacer a bonus, not sure about the name graphics though, design makes it look like a poor print. Does the job perfectly though so still give it 5/5 for quality. 21 October 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by quality stem great price Good n stiff and light enough for my xc rig, went for the a.m. version for peice of mind. Looks well in white but paint did chip on installation round top cap area but not visible until you strip her down 27 September 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Ottimo Ottimo prodotto qualita prezzo ,peccato non averlo acquistato nero 17 September 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice looking and very sturdy First thing I noticed when I unbowed it is that it was the wrong colour. Either their idea of black is more a silver colour or the incorrect one was sent to me (possibly gunmetal). Anyway, it looked good on my bike so I kept it. Its a great looking stem and feels nice and solid. A quality bit of kit at an excellent price! 04 September 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great quality stem great looking stem, bought it in white, looks and feels stiff and its not as heavy as it looks. Great product from answer, I would definetly recommend it 28 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Really Good Stuff Very good stem.I never felt so comfortable and confident on my bike =) Good price for good equipment. Recommend =) 24 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by lighter than it looks but strong as lovely piece of design, strong, stiff, light for its size, chunky good looks and threadlocked stainless T fasteners all around. it solved my desire for slightly longer reach and more bodyweight over the front wheel, while saving me weight and increasing control and adding style points^n i know 'answer' from motocross, they make good gear and this is a fine example. great value at this price (£25). tldr: get one you won't regret it (quoting another review) 27 July 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by bad quality from a respectable brand Not much to say really. Took it out it's box with high hopes and near enough immediately put it back away again. The finish was rough on both the paint and edges. It felt cheap. With that feeling I lose trust in an item. Sent back same day. 03 July 2014

''Internal & External Tapered walls'' - what's the meaning of that, is this stem not standard and does it fit 1 1/8 frame/fork?

Answer:
It simply refers to the machining process on the stem walls to reduce weight but maintain strength. The internal diameter is still 1.1/8" to accept a standard fork.

Answer:
My Fox forks are tapered, 1.125" at the top. My Rove stem fits like a charm. It will also work with standard 1.125" steerer forks.

Answer:
These bars have a 31.8mm clamping area which pairs with the 31.8mm clamp on the stem.

As they are both intended for aggressive riding styles they will be fine to use together.

Answer:
As an AM stem this is a bulkier model so will be a bit heavier than a standard XC/Cyclo-cross version, but will still work fine on any 1.1/8" steerer and 31.8mm bar combination.
