Rated 5 out of 5 by Anteater Excellent choice for regular pool swimming
Since switching from swimming shorts to jammers about three years ago, I've had two expensive Lycra (polyurethane/polyester fiber mix) items go shoddy. First, the stretchy fibers break near stressed seams, then area becomes threadbare and seethrough. The fabric also becomes less compressive.
I worked out that my second pair of (Mizuno) jammers probably cost me about 25 p a swim.
So, I checked out alternatives on the 'net and found that PBT fibers are more chlorine resistant than PU. Arena calls PBT mix fabric Waternity, but other makers have their own take. I liked the look and price of these Arena Band jammers and so ordered them as a replacement.
PBT mix fabric is not as sleek as PU/polyester, but it feels and looks good. Once again, I will be able to walk sedately from the shower tunnel to the pool. I look forward to several years of service.
My waist is 32/34 but I ordered 34 because my previous jammers were a bit tedious to get on an off. I'm not sure, but maybe, for more compression, it would have been better to go for 32. Waternity has plenty of stretch.
