I purchased this item (the clear version) to use on a resprayed Cervelo P3. The chainstay protector is 28 cm in length. It has a maximum width of 3.2 cm. The chainstay protector and the patches provide excellent adhesion. Just make sure that the surface is completely clean, free of dirt, grease, tar etc, prior to applying. Good quality product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous Poor for bikes with curved frame
These are useless for sticking to curved or rounded frames. The chainstay protector will not bend and stick to my round chainstay. The plastic that these are made from is quite hard so they may work fine on a box section/flat chainstay. The round ones will accept a slight curve, such as the headset, but again, are no good for anything of a smaller diameter such as seat stays. Very disappointed and would not recommend for any bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous I have got the clear version for 4 months, and they still on the frame. Not sticking out or anything, very good product to keep your frame in good condition.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous very small patches
I just received this product. The strip was completely crumpled in the package.
People from CRC I like it a lot that you are so fast in delivering, but next time please pay a little attention the way you package!
There is one long strip for your horizontal rear fork to protect it from chain impact. This one is probably not going to be used solely by anyone. You really want a soft neoprene protector for this part of your bike!
Then there are 2 round patches of only +-2cmØ. 4 oval patches of 4cm long and 1,8cm wide and that's it.
I don't know if they are going to stick well, because I haven't used them yet.
I'm probalby going to cut the longest patch into pieces to protect my steering column.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Sticky..
they stick and protect the paint from those naughty cables..
You can probably make a few more out of the left over bits of sticky plastic from the strip.
Bet there are cheaper ways to make protectors but I am too lazy to find out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous Useless, don't waste your cash
These stickers should be sold as decorative patches, not actual frame protectors. They are a flimsy sticker which on all 3 of my bikes were worn through in less than 500 kilometres (I am a road racer). Get patches which are made of actual carbon cloth, failing that I find these stickers to be far less durable than even plain black insulating tape...

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous They last..for a while
My bike came fitted with this and looked really good. It has now bubbled up so I need to buy a new chainstay patch/protector.
